Power BI is not fetching all the HANA calculation views

Hi,

Power BI desktop not fetching all the HANA calculation views

I successfully connected to the SAP HANA database from Power BI Desktop application, but Power BI desktop not showing all the content from the HANA. Any reason why and how this can be solved?

PowerBi version - 2.93.981.0 64-bit (May 2021)

Hi @sampath582 ,

HANA is OLAP,you only see analysis and calculation views, make sure the view you could not fetch is calculation views, not attribute Views.

Then check the blog below:

https://mccoy-partners.com/updates/connecting-non-sap-tools-on-sap-hana-and-sap-bw

And ,it seems that you need to refresh the data when first connect with HANA.

Wish it is helpful for you!

Best Regards

Lucien

Hi Amit,

1. Yes, We checked the option "Treat SAP HANA as a relational source" under options.

2. Yes. HANA client is installed in the VM where Power BI is running.

Issue - Power BI is not loading all the HANA Contents. It is partially loading.

Example - All the packages we see in the SAP HANA Studio, is not shwoing in the powerbi . Note - using same user in HANA studio and powerbi

@sampath582 , If you want to use SAP HANA as the relational source, hope you have checked that in the options and settings?

Also have installed the software mentioned in the initial part of this doc
