Power BI drill down chart

There is requirement to create a chart which need be used on SharePoint online page to show status for due dates tasks. Users want to have drill down functions. for example, when they click the over 10 days due on Chart, screen will show all the items which are over dued on page.

My questions is : I don't see sharepoint online chart web part has this function to drill down to detail items, so if create it with Power BI and pulished and embed the report on sharepoint online page, does it require all the user have the Power BI license. So far all users has Office 365 E3 license.

Hi @leung2019 ,

The report embedded in the SharePoint Online site can use the ‘Drill up/Drill down’ feature.

To shared Power BI reports/dashboards and the visuals in them including the visual drill-down and so on, you need to have either Power BI Pro or you need to be a user under Power BI premium.

Hi Fowmy, really appreciated your quick response. We can use one license to create the powerBI report. My questions is, if we purchase one license with PowerBI pro, create the report, publish and emded report link to sharepoint page.

Does all the users who view the chart reports and drill down the chart to see detail information, need PowerBI Pro license?  If yes, that could be a lot of money.  Just want to confirm this.
