Power BI desktop is closing unexpectadly

Hi,

While working on power bi desktop unexpectedly throwing the below popup alert and closing automatically even we can't recover our lost work.

Hi @SunilGudipati ,

Which data source you have connected? What is the bit version type of your power bi desktop? 32 bit or 64 bit?

In addition, I have noticed that the version number from the error message is 2.87.762.0 while the latest version from the official web is 2.87.1061.0 (Nov 2020), where did you get the newer version? From the microsoft app store? 

Maybe you can try to use the Nov version to check whether it still has errors or consider sharing more details about this issue for further discussion.

Hello,

I have a similar issue using Power BI Desktop. Except, I am not recieving any error message.  I am opening a "recent" report where the data source is an online sharepoint list.  As soon as I open the report, I see all of the visuals for about 2 seconds and then the entire Power BI Desktop application closes.   I am still able to access the report through Power BI online; however, I need to get onto the Desktop version to refresh the data source.
