Power BI desktop freezes

On Windows 10 64 bit my newly installed Power BI desktop program freezes.

Sometimes alraedy at start-up, sometimes later:

I could get data from the internet, but when I try once more it freezes:

In the Event Viewer I find this error message:

The description for Event ID 25 from source MSOLAP$AnalysisServicesWorkspace1683705885 cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

msmdsrvi.rll
2057

I have installed the MS data tools (MS SQL Server, MS AS, MS IS, ...), but the problem persists.

seems other people have the same problem, but I did not find any solution up to now.

Where investigating to start with Power BI in our company, but his keeps me from proceeding.

What to do ?

I would appreciate some help.

Hi @lvdp,

Did you installed the latest version of Power BI desktop? If not, please update to the latest one for a test.

Please try the suggestions mentioned in below similar threads to check if it helps:

Power BI Desktop - Unable to use Get Data
Power BI desktop running on Windows Server 2012 Remote Desktop Services

The description for Event ID 25 from source SOLVE$analysis's cannot be found

Besides, your issue is more related to your computer environment, it is required to collect a process dump file to analyze the root cause. So, you could create a support ticket for further analysis: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/

Open Desktop and go to File | Options and Settings | Options | Diagnostics and then Enable tracing. This will create a detailed trace log that you can send to support.

Take a look at this thread. Perhaps 2057 is your locale id?
