Power BI data size is increasing in the premium work space

Hi All,

Every week we are geeeting new data so dashboard data size is increasing in premuin capacity. currently using A2 Node which is having 5GB capacity but dashboard data size is 4.2 GB in few weeks it will reach to 5GB then we may have to go to A3 Node. Here instead of going to A3 Node is there any other way to decrease the Size of the dashbaord data and curently importing data to Power BI Memeory. dashboard may continue another 5 more years and data is increasing every week. is there any other way Power BI will pick from some where instead of loading into Power BI memory. need standard solution instead of going to A3 and A4 node etc

Hello @PKR_N ,

If the dataset will continuously increase, sugggest that uses direct query mode instead of import mode. DirectQuery allows you to connect to large datasets without having to extract all the data. Just pull what you need when you need it.

For import mode, the modelstructure determines the data to load and has a direct impact on model size. It can be designed to avoid loading unnecessary data by removing columns, removing rows (especially historical data), or loading summarized data (at the expense of loading detailed data). Drastically reducing the size can be achieved by removing high cardinality columns (especially text columns) that do not store or compress very efficiently.
