Power BI certification

i guess certification 776 is not applicable now after Jan 2021. is there any foundation level certification for power BI

i knw there is one DA-100 but that seems advance level.

only 70-778 exam and DA-100

I'm not sure DA-100 is much more difficult

as per i knw exam 70-778 will retires on January 31, 2021 at 11:59 PM Central Time so we only left with DA-100 ?

retired doesn't mean anything critical

Anyway, DA-100 has a few task with new options, like Key influencers and it reflects your knowledges as more actual

Also, it may affect on a new certification pathes. For example, there could be a some new high-level certification and actual and modern DA-100 will be mandatory for it. But it just suggest.

So, I highly recommend do not afraid and to take DA-100  🙂

@Anonymous  Yes, 778 is retiring Jan 2021, that doesn't mean you can't still use it to certify until then. 

Still waiting for courseware to come out related to DA-100 but judging from the exam outline, I suspect the level of difficulty will be similar. 778 also required some in depth knowledge of data model, M code and DAX which it looks like DA-100 will too. 

778 is old, and many changes and updates have come to Power BI since the course and exam were written, so DA-100 will hopefully reflect those and still serve as same level of certification that 778 provided.

• You are so on point. I took the DA100 some weeks back (still awaiting results). The difficulty is pretty similar to 778.
• I even believe 778 materials can also help in preparation.
