I have a text column (which is also marked as a text column, I triple checked) which stores Invoice Ids ("Document"). Depending on the vendor, some invoices have a combination of letters and numbers or only numbers. Anyway, it is obviously important that it is not treated as a number but as a text. So let's see what happens when I include the invoice id in a matrix:
Yikes.. Please look into this. If you have any workarounds for now, please let me know.

Actually this kind of scientific number will be recognized as text, you can create calculate columns to convert the number to whole number type and then change the format of the calculate column with scientific notation.

I am getting so fed up with Microsoft. This is a legitimate bug that no one bothers to check. To reiterate: I have a TEXT field with invoice ids. Some happen to be just a string of numbers. Power BI converts those invoice ids to scientific notation IN SPITE OF the field being a TEXT field at every step of the way!

I do not think you understand what I mean. The column is a Text field. Nevertheless, it converts a number into scientific notation.
