Power BI Template with Live Connection to Azure Analysis service

Hi,

I have Azure Analytics services with diferent models as my data source. I will be using Live Connection (not Direct Query , not Import Data) to connect to the source.

I would like to create a report / dashboard as a template and share the template to users to connect to their data-source and models.

1. Currently there is not way i can create a content pack template with "Live connection" for creating and sharing the report.

2. Power BI Tmeplate File does not allow us to create template with Live Connection as well using Edit Query Parameters.

Is there any other way to solve this? Can i directly edit my pbix file to remove connection strings and share ?

HI @kkalyanthaya,

AFAIK, current power bi live connection not support dynamic datasource, every time you change connection string, it will clean up original datas and link to new source.

BTW, template is based on query parameters which not allow in live connection. Maybe you can submit an idea about this requirement.
