Power BI Report Server upload error

When I try to upload an existing Power BI (pbix) file, I get the following error:

An error has occured.

Something went wrong. Please try again later.

This has been happening for the past couple of days, so waiting isn't making the problem dissapper.

In the log file, I see the following:

library!DefaultDomain!a930!05/30/2017-09:53:47:: i INFO: Catalog SQL Server Edition = Enterprise
crypto!DefaultDomain!a930!05/30/2017-09:53:47:: i INFO: Initializing crypto as user: NT SERVICE\PowerBIReportServer

Thank you,

Re: Power BI Report Server upload error

@MartyGalvan

This seems to point to a URL registration issue. This could be caused by a couple scenarios:

1. Permissions

The PBI service account does not have permissions to write new HTTP reservations.

We can test this by changing the PowerBI sever account to be an admin account via the configuration manager and restarting the service

2. Conflicting reservation

Does the user have another instance of SSRS installed on this server? If so do the URLs configured conflict at all?

Please refer to this thread, you error message should be same as them.

Best Regards,
Herbert
