Power BI Report Performance - Troubleshooting

How do i start troubleshooting my power bi report.

 

My environment:

Designing reports after importing data into Power BI from SQL Server.

 

We want report to be displayed as early as possible.

Few things we need to consider here,

1) Try to take the required data only from your source

2) Check "Enable load" option in Query editor ( disable this option if not required)

3) Minimize the usage of external graphs(downloaded from market place) 

4) Split date & time into 2 columns

5) Always import SQL views insted of tables into PBI data model

6) Apply mark as date table to date column in calendar table( if created).

can you please expalin 3rd and 5th points?

 

once we load the custom visual from marketplace into the report, what is the difference from the normal visual?

 

what is the perfromance problem if we have both date and time in single column?
