Power BI Personal Gateway – Error “"GWConf has stopped working”

GWConf has stopped working A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program

Based on my research, a similar issue has been reported on Power BI Issues here, and the issue should have been fixed. I also verified that my Power BI Personal Gateway still works fine without this issue.

Could you confirm if you have downloaded and installed the latest version of Gateway? If the issue persists, feel free to post here.

I reinstalled several times, but problem still exists.

Note:- I am using the free version and not the Pro, is that the reason for this error.

Currently, the personal gateway is only available with Power BI Pro. For more details, you can refer to this article.

In addition, you can try a 60-day free trial of Power BI Pro to connect to on-premises data using Personal Gateway.
