Power BI People Picker

Dear Friends,

I have a requirement of creating reports for our organization. The requirement contains a list which contains a column(Assigned To) which is a People Picker(which picks the username from the AD). I tried to connect the list with power bi using OData Feed. When it is connected, in the preview the column is showing as shown in the image below.

Assigned To field showing in the PreviewAssigned To field showing in the Preview

But when the list gets loaded, the Assigned To column is not showing in the Fields Pane as shown in the image below.

Then what I did was, I exported the list into excel and generated report using that. But I want to make the report updated whenever the list gets update.

So can anyone please suggest me a way to solve the situation that am facing right now in generating report.Smiley Sad

Thanks in Advance !!Smiley Happy

Hi,

When you have connected to your OData Feed and before you load your table you can click on the Edit button. This will take you to the query editor where you can choose to expand the field for Assigned To and by doing so you will convert the records from the underlying table structure into your query.

Then after you have expanded the column you can go ahead and load the query and you will see the new fields also in Fields Pane.
