Power BI Online doesn't refresh (Google Sheets)

Hello Poer BI Comminity,

I have a question in regards of P-BI (Online) w/ Google Sheets...

For some reasons, when refresh on P-BI (Online) the table for Google Sheets doesn't refersh...

Although, the P-BI (desktop) refreshes with no issue... 

I have hit rock bottom, can figure it out...

I have been publishing the dashboard instead of refreshing...

i don't know if it helps, but i am not uing teh Google Sheets (Beta).

Hi @Skosmek 

How did you connect to Google sheet in Power BI Desktop? After you published the report to Power BI Service, did you set credentials on dataset settings page in Power BI Service?

Here are my steps to connect to Google sheet and set refresh in Power BI Service. Hope they are helpful. 

1. Connect to Google sheet with the method from this link How to connect Power BI to Google Sheets?

When publishing to the web, I choose to export it as an Excel workbook. So in Advanced Editor of Power Query Editor, my source step is like below.

Source = Excel.Workbook(Web.Contents("https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-xxxxxxxxxxxx_KZe0mn4/pub?output=xlsx"), null, true)

2. After publishing the report to Power BI Service, if I refresh the dataset directly, I will receive refresh failure error. So I go to Settings page, select this dataset and edit credentials in Data source credentials section. 

3. Select Basic for Authentication method and enter the credentials below that. Save the change. Then I can refresh the dataset in Power BI Service successfully. 

* After a dataset is refreshed successfully in Power BI Service, it takes some time to bring new data into the reports using this dataset. So you may not see changes in the reports immediately. You can wait for a while and refresh the report. In my previous test, I saw new data after around 5 minutes.
