Power BI Model Relationships gone on updating PowerQuery

After updating a table in Power BI Desktop PowerQuery all relationships related to this table are gone and needs to be done again. Same with any measures created on top o this table.

The update on the PowerQuery did not affect the output/load but only the source and transformation.

How come this breaks the relationships of the table when the load is strictly identical to the prior version?

Actually I think I've found the solution. Just separating the load table from the staging (extract and transform) allows to swap sources and transformation without breaking the model.
