Hello everyone,
I'm facing a problem regarding data refresh from Dynamics 365 in Power BI Desktop.
Basically, I'm pulling data from invoice entity of my customer CRM and apllying a data filter in Power Query in this process.
When I try to refresh this data, Power BI Desktop is taking hours to pull it off and it finishes with a timeout error after that.
I already disabled Power BI Desktop options which have known impact in performance like: Type Detection, Relationships, Time Intelligence and Background Data. Also I enabled parallel loading of tables.
Does anyone have an idea how to improve this process of pulling data from Dynamics 365?
Thanks in Advance,
Thiago Patrocinio.

Hi @Anonymous ,
As far as I know, the usual answer to the need to run Power BI against larger D365 datasets is to export the data to an SQL Server/Azure SQL database and then query against that. Refer this document: Replicate Microsoft Dynamics 365 (online) data to Microsoft Azure SQL Database
In addition, you can refer this similar article and issue to try:

It can be very slow. Are you using the OData connector and the approach described in these links?
