I've never experienced this before. Normally, assuming that the desktop version is the same name as the version on the reporting suite, when I publish the desktop version, it will automatically ask me whether I want to replace the preivious version. This makes it much easier to update dashboards (Rather than have to point all to a new source again).
For some reason, now it just automatically publishes the new report to the suite without asking any questions. I get two reports of the exact same name.
Is there a setting that I can change so that it reverts back to replacing old versions?
Thanks
Hi @M_OConnor,
Could you please tell me if your problem has been solved? If it is, could you please mark the helpful replies as Answered?

@v-danhe-msftsadly I couldn't replicate this issue again as I moved on to a different client. I think it might have been an issue at their end. It would happen fairly irregularly, particularly on days where the internet connection/VPN was dropping off a lot.
Hi @M_OConnor,
What datasource has your connected? Based on my test, if you are connecting to datasets in the Power BI service from Desktop, the situation you describe will happen, you could refer to below link:
I suggest you to connect the row dataset instead of the dataset in service to solve the problem.
