Power BI Desktop Optimized for Power BI Report Server?

Hi Gurus,

I'm installing Power BI Desktop optimized for Report Server Jan 2019 and May 2019 version on separate folders.

Jan2019 => Microsoft Power BI Desktop RS-Jan2019

May2019=>Microsoft Power BI Desktop RS-May2019

After May 2019 installation completed, the Jan 2019 version found that the Jan2019 is gone and there is no Microsoft Power BI Desktop RS-Jan2019 folder.

Is it possible to maintain and working on 2 different version?

Many thanks in advance.

No I don't think it is. The installer sets up file associations and url handlers and seems to overwrite all your shortcuts etc, so that they all point to the latest version that was installed.

Have you tried going into the Jan2019 folder and double clicking on the .exe file in there to see if that launches the Jan version?

Jan2019 folder is no longer available after May 2019 installation.
