Hello,
I am experiencing extreme lag in my Windows 10 Pro 64-bit machines after the recent updates. This occurs in various PBIX files. Downgrading doesn't seem to help. Are there external dependencies that might cause this like .NET?
I also see errors in my event viewer showing MEngineTraceReaderSession faults.
Thank you,
Bobby
Hi @devhawkio
There have been inconsistencies witht he latest release but system lagging might not be one of them.
My system doesn't show any such behaviour.
You may need to check other running processes.

Thanks for the reply. I had the same issue in July and then suddenly things were improved mid-month. What troubleshooting steps can I take?
Hi @devhawkio
There are multiple factors which can cause your system slowness.
But, These are the few basic steps I would do.
I would start disk cleanup, click on the "cleanup system files" and check all the boxes and delete. Uncheck any box you might think you need.
Then I would strat "defrag" and let my optimize drive my OS is installed on.
This process will help you a lot.

Hi @devhawkio ,
Select the following links to download this earlier version:
One thing to clarify is that using an older version of desktop may not open pbix files created based on the new version. Includes reports downloaded from service using the new version of desktop.
Please try repairing before uninstalling,it works for some people.
