Hello All,
I'm having trouble appending a sharepoint list data to an Excel onedrive business data in power BI desktop.
I have 2 queries:
1st query sourcing Sharepoint list using a sharepoint list connector, this list brings current year data.
2nd query sourcing an Excel file that is on Onedrive business, excel file brings prior year data.
I used Append as new option to append query1 with query2, it ran fine in Power query editor. When i did close&apply it prmpted me to enter my sharepoint login info, after entering the login info i got "Access to the resource is forbidden' error message.
I'm using sharepoint 2013 and loging in with organizational account.
If i do not append the list with excel file, individual queries are running fine in power query editor as well as desktop.
any idea what could be causing this?
Thanks
Hi @ExplorePBI,
Based on my test, it could due to your data source privacy level, could you please test to modify your privacy level from organizational to None in the Data source settings and test it again if possible?

Hi,
yes, both queries data source privacy is set to none.
While appending query1 with query2 it prompted me to choose the privacy level in the Power query editor. Power query editor does not have none option, i picked Organizational account for appended query.
Thanks
Hi @ExplorePBI,
Could you have tried other options? Based on my test, if you do not choose the Organizational account, the other options could work normally, could you please try again?
Regards,
Daniel He
