Plotting the line Y=X on a Scatter Plot

Hi,

I was wondering if it's possible to plot the line y=x on a scatter plot that already has data on it - since most of the points lie close to the line y=x it would be useful to see outliers.

Thanks,

Andy

I think the closest you currently can get is to add a trend line to your scatter plot. You will find the option to add trend lines under the Analytics tab for the scatter plot.

If most of your values are close to y = x then the trend line will be very close to that line as well. But I dont't think there is any other way to get constant lines except static x or y -values.

There still doesn't appear to be a way to add a true y=x line, however there is a "Symmetry Shading" option within the analytics section.

Thanks Magnus, you were right - since most of my values were close to y = x the trend line follows suit.
