I have been using a persoanl gateway for Refresh for about 1 year. Monday thru Friday the gateway works like clockwork; I don't need to refresh the dashboards over the weekend.
This message, is common:
Because of the scheduling component in Power BI, I cannot pick and choose specific days of the week to refresh the data. I have noticed that when the refreshes fail over the weekend, sometimes for reasons I don't know, PBI will "pause" future refreshes and I need to "jump start" them on Monday. What is the rule for this?
Is there away to have Power BI persist, without PBI stopping the scheduled refresh?
Any articfacts or knowledge about the rationale around how PBI handles this is welcome.

Based on the error message, it says the Personal Gateway is offline. Can you check if the machine which hosts Personal Gateway will shut down or restart every weekend?
If the machine is always on, you may create a support ticket to have deep analysis for this issue.

Yes, the personal gateway is on my PC. I understand it won't run unless it is online.
I am asking what the rule is that causes PBI to suspend refreshes when the gateway is found to be offline.
