Permutations and Combinations

Hi,

I have a table with one column containing a list of 12 values.

I would like to create a permutation and combination output from this list where I define how many values (x) are included in the output generation.  For example, to get all permutations of x from 12 where x could be 2 through to 12.  Similarly an output list for the combinations.

Is this possible?

thanks

Steve

Hi @nffcspw ,

You can use COMBIN() and PERMUT() functions to get the number. Here are the documents of these functions.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dax/combin-function-dax
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dax/permut-function-dax

If you want to show every permutations, you can refer to this document which used power query.
