Performing division on a single column

Hi All.

 

Very new to all this and am struggling to work out how I go about changing a column data by dividng it by a fixed number.  I have a set of data from the source that has come in as bytes and I want to change this to GBytes.  I cant change it on the source so haev to do it in BI

 

any pointers greatfully received.

In Power Query (Query Editor), you can use the standard math functions to create a step that divides the column on import. If you do not do it on import, you create a custom column or measure and put in a formula like:

 

Column = DIVIDE([Column],1000000)
