I'll start by saying that I am a complete newbie to PowerBI, so please bare with me if the solution to my question is obvious.
I have a dataset where each row represents a task.
Columns represent datetime of task assignment, time (days) for task completion
There are a couple of things that I'd like to do for my presentation:
1. Generate a bar graph (0-->100% y-axis, year x-axis) where I can set a time threshold, and show which percentage of tasks were completed by the set threshold, each year. Ideally this could be done with a splicer function so that I could alter the threshold during presentation.
2. Similar to (1) above, but with multiple thresholds. So that I could show percentage of tasks being completed in 1 day, 1-5 days, >5 days.
Any help would be much apprecaited.
For your scenario, the best approach is using Gantt chart, which can display start date, completion percentage, duration, etc. For more details, please refer to this article: Visual Awesomeness Unlocked – Gantt chart
However, it's not possible dynamically specify a threshold, the chart always start at the earliest date in the data field you put under Start Date. You can calculate the completion percentage in different "bucket". But still, it can't be based on a dynamic threshold.
