i have column like
column 1
80%
98%
99%
99.99%
100%
i want to show background colour conditionallay
say
<98.00% -red colour
>98.00 - >99.99 -amber
>99.99 green
i cheched contional formating with 'Rules ' is giving only for numbers not for percentages and it is taking lowest and highest vaues but i want accurally
column 2
98
99
99.99
100
contional formating with 'Rules ' is giving only for for column2 values but not column 1 percentage values
please guide me to allocate a background colour accuraly based on conditions like conditional formating rules ....

You have to try with like this.
For 80% --> use .80
similarly, 98% --> .98
This would works.

its not working for percentage values
i have values like

98.00% 98
99.00% 99

i tried with decimal values but its not wotking for column 1 yes it is working for numbers column 2
i want to set back ground colour conditionaly for column 1
