Passing Measure value as parameter to HANA

Hi,

I want to give user an option9may be in slicer) to select the parameter value that should be passed to the SAP HANA parameter and accordingly fetch the data for the view. Is this possible somehow?

hi, @Anonymous

After my research, I'm afraid it couldn't achieve in Power BI for now.

Measure can be affected by filter/slicer/interaction, and it is based on current data model by DAX function.

Assuming that you use measure as a parameter to get data from HANA, then dataset in data model will be changed, the measure will be changed too, then dataset in data model will be changed again...... This will go on forever.

So it could be the parameter value.

For parameter value, you could use Parameters function in edit queries.

hi, @Anonymous

I think it is impossible for your requirement, as I said above, the option may be in a slicer to select a value is based on the data model, you use it as parameter for data source, it will lead to go on forever.
