Page background in App has disappeard

Hi all,

I have a report which has a picture for the background on every page.

When I look at this report in the app space, the background is completely black. It looks like the picture which I'm using for the background has disappeared entirely.

Left = workspace, Right = Appspace.

Has anyone experienced this issue before / know any fixes?

Thank you,

Will

I cannot repro the same issue on my side. Can you repro it with any report? If possible, could you please share a PBIX file which can be used to repro through online file service like OneDrive, so that I can have a try on my side?

Hi Herbert,

I've tested with a colleague and been unable to replicate the issue as you said. It's a strange one, something must have gone wrong with this particular file I suppose, but never seen anything like it.

I'll keep testing and see if I can find a workaround.

Thanks,

Will

Maybe you can try to delete and re-add the page background in PBI Desktop, then republish to PBI Service.

Or delete and re-add the page background in PBI Service directly by editting report to see if it helps.

Hi Herbert,

I'm afraid we've tried those with no luck, trying a few more things like deleting the background, saving it as a new file etc. but still struggling. This is very frustrating!

Thanks for your help,

Will

@Anonymous

So it is only reproducible with one specific PBIX file, right? Is it possible to share this file to me through online file service like OneDrive so that I can have a test locally on my side?

Best Regards,
Herbert

Hi Herbert,

I'm afraid not I can't access one drive here and it has protected data. We're gonna trying saving and copying to different files etc. May just have to rebuild though.

Thanks,

Will
