POWER QUERY - SEE ERROR WITHOUT DELETING SUBSEQUENT STEPS

Hi, I have a Power Query and have just re-written one of the custom columns that is half way down a long list of query steps. The new code is throwing an Error. When I click on the orange Error in the column, it tells me it will delete ALL subsequent steps. I do NOT want to do this just to see the error. Is there any way to see the error without deleting subsequent steps to do so (Yes, i could go into Advanced Editor, comment out all subsequent steps, then click on the Error, see what it is, fix it and bring back the steps in AE but, surely, I mean, surely, there is a better way)...any help appreciated... thanks 🙂

I don't have an error message, that's the point, in order to see the error message I have to click on Error in the column, it then says it will insert a step to view the error that will delete all subsequent steps. I have now deleted the offending step and done it in DAX instead and cannot replicate the problem. Maybe I could have clicked on the last step and then clicked on the error in the column, so the step to view the error would have been at the end. Who knows. If it happens again, I will try that. Thanks, anyway. 🙂

Hi @Bella42 ,

In order to make troubleshooting and give you a suitable solution, could you please povide the full applied codes in Advanced Editor and the screenshot with the error message? Please exclude the sensitive data before share any info with us. And could you please explain what kind of functionality did you create that new column for? Thank you.
