Hello!
Last year I had significant changes to a Power BI report, say Report A. Report A has 3 dashboards linked to it.
To make the updates, I first "Saved a Copy" in the workspace to keep the original (even though I had a backup of the pbix).
I renamed the original report "Report A OLD" and the new copy "Report A".
I then downloaded the Report A pbix, made changes and updated. For some reason, when I make updates NOW to Report A and publish, "Report A OLD" gets updated. Strangest thing.
Does anyone know how I can resolve this? I've downloaded the pbix from "Report A", and it updates to "Report A OLD". I know it's because of the method I used to make the updates last year. I don't typically make updates this way; I typically backup the PBIX instead of backing up the report in the workspace.
Thanks.

Thank you! I solved it by deleting the data set for the "OLD" version and republishing.
Hi, @ConnieMaldonado
This behavior is normal. You can modify the content directly in the copied report without affecting the original report.
