Hello all!
I create reports using D365 entities. I have different D365 permissions than those I create reports for. For example, I can view all geographical regions in D365 & some colleagues I create reports for can't. I know about setting up roles in PBI desktop & adding members in the service, but that really doesn't apply in this context.
I share these reports out by sending colleagues the .pbix file I create for them (as opposed publishing to the service).
My question is this: If they open the .pbix file to view the content, will they only be able to view regions they are allowed to view in D365? I'm wondering if permissions assigned to them in D365 carry over to D365 entity data they can view in the PBI Desktop.

Hi @Anonymous ,
Based on my test, it will show all the data you have used in the pbix, I suggest you to use RLS for different user to limit the data:
