So I was trying to create a calculated column, and was entering some code in the PBI desktop formula bar
The code is quite simple and is just like this:

I actually had 2 problems here
1 - I had to fix DATE_TEST [DATE] to make it a DATE data type - Then I no longer get an error (this is solved)
2 - When I did get the error, as you can see in the screen shot - There was no error message. It just said The following system error occurred: So it wasnt easy to trouble shoot at first, since there was no clear error message.

Second issue is very minor but also curious am I the only one with this issue

@rodneyc8063 , This is strange. Make sure you are on the latest version. Save and close all power bi files and start again
Also, make sure Date in this formula is having data type date
Test = FORMAT(Date_Test[Date], "MMM YYYY")
Hi @amitchandak - I am on the most current PBI desktop version (May 2021).
I tried to close and restart "fresh" a few times but I still get this weird behaviour.
You are right about the column being used in the formula, its actually an integer so thats why there is an error.
I just found it very strange that I cant actually SEE the error.
