P&L Custom sort works only in subcategory

Hello guys,

I have problem with sorting my P&L. I have Matrix where I am applying "Expand all down one level in hierarchy" as drill down option as under nominal codes I have list of my profit centres. My second Matrix goes other way around but problem is the same.

This is example only for income but here is same problem with Direct Cost, Admin cost etc.

My nominal codes are always 4 digits and starting from 0001 to 9999 hence I am using copy of that variable for custom sort (This is number so "Sort by Column" option should work.

I was testing "Sort by Column" by Nominal Code_Order for Type, Category, or NC Full String but I was always successful only in one of them.  I need to have correct order when I use "Expand all down one level in hierarchy"

You can see in picture from PBI that order is currect on NC Full String but Category have wrong order.

I went through several tickets with similar issue. Solution is usually "Sort by Column" however this works only partially for me.

Can you help me out?

Hi @AndrejZitnay,

you need to create a sort-order column for each column you need, e.g. one for category and one for subcategory. Then for each of these columns choose sort by column and select the appropriate column to sort by.
