Oracle data source in Amazon AWS slow performance

I am having performance issue with one of my new dashboard with

Data source in AWS - Oracle.

The connection type is Oracle DB

Its a very small table with less than 2000 records taking over 10 minutes to get the data.

Is there anything that i can do to get this going faster.

Does power bi have any other connection type to connect to AWS Oracle data source that performs better than the default Oracle DB connector?

Hi @Anonymous,

Performance issue is a complicated question. I would suggest you upgrade the Desktop and the Gateway. And try again later. Maybe adding more bandwidth of the AWS would help.

Best Regards,

Dale

I tried running the same query using other oracle client tools like SQL Developer. the response tiem is less than 4 seconds to get the full dataset. I also tried publishing the dashboard and refresh online, even that took around 16 minutes.
