I'm aware of this question(https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Error-handling-in-loading-files-from-folder/m-p/276960#M123...) but it seems to me that this user already knows why a file fails to load, I won't necessarily know why.
I have a folder with many excel files that are downloaded and appended into one long table. I am trying to load the files and if a file does not load, add the name to a table and move onto the next file. So if only 4/5 files refresh I would end up with 4 updated files and the name of the file that failed to refresh saved to a table somewhere. Is this possible? I
Hi @Anonymous,
Power bi not support this, you need to manually write custom function to achieve this.
For example: a custom function which used to check valid files from a folder path which you provider. It will return a list with valid files path, then you can use original folder file list to except available files to get invalid file list.
