Once data is brought in as an Import, can I change the table to directquery?

Once data is brought in as an Import, can I change the table to directquery?

I ask this because I loaded a cost table.  Our cost changes periodically and I want to save the trouble of reloading a new table each month.  Please note, the other tables in the file were loaded by import.

Hi staceyusa94,

In common senario, it's not recommended to do so because when you switch from import mode to direct query mode, all the shape and transform operations may be dismissed. However, allthough no built-in option in power bi support this, there's a workaround here which may help you achieve your requirement.
