Hi everyone!
I have been using Power BI for a week now. I need to do some on the fly calculations that will help me visualize data. Is it possible to do this with tables already loaded from excel?
For eg.
I have data on revenues and EBIT. I want to see the changes in EBIT/Rev given, say 10% increase in revenue.
Can I do this without adding a separate column in the table?
Would appreciate some guidance.
Thanks in advance!

Hi @Saloni
That is very much possible. You dont have to add any table in your original Excel file.
You can either create a measure or a new column after loading the data set from Excel.
To learn more about how to create columns or measures, please have a look at the following link:

Hope this helps!!
Thanks,
Himanshu

Will I be able to add a slicer for revenue? To see changes in EBIT/Rev as soon as I select a particular level of revenue.
Yes, you can use slicer also. Use Chiclet Slicer availalbe here.
