On premise Gateway

Hi

I have this isuuse with e on-premise gateway.

We have a domain, with and sql server 2008

We have another computer, in the domain, with windows server 64 bits as file server. Here a installed the gateway.

No problem.

In power bi service, i see the gateway, create de data origins and get connected. Until here everything is fine.

when i go to the data set, i assing the gateway to each one. find. I schedule the actualizations, good.

I see the line of credentials an says "The adminstrator granted, no need credentials" (translated)

But when i push de buttom to update or when the schedule active i got the yellow triangle in the data set and says

Invalid credentials.

In the gateway i switched credentiasl to basic (sql server) and to windows and no result.

Reinstall de gateway. Nothing

Went to de PBIEgwService, change de account service, restar service, nothing. 

I spoke with de network admin to know if there is a proxy and the answer is YES. Bou not a Microsoft one.

What do i should do, or look for in this proxy that my interfere with the gateway? 

Is this proxy the real problem?

I recently learn that there is another computer in th domain with sql server 2005. I dont think that should be a problem. Right?

Hi @rerangel,

You can use one gateway to host multiple domain datasource,you should ensure the device which install the gateway can access other domain datasources and has the operate permissions.(prerequisite)

In your scenario, you should confirm the computer installed on-premise gateway have access to domain with SQL Server 2008.

Hi Argelia

The computer where Gateway is installed see the sql server, run SSMS and  make querys just fine.

In the service, the gateway is on line. But when refresh get the invalid credential error

Hi. Thanks for take your time to answer.

Yes. The computer where i am installing the gateway is in the domain, in fact, Sql Mang Studio is installed and sees the sql server and databases perfectily and work just fine.

The gateway in this computer has no error and said that is correctly configured.

In the service, i test the gateway and says Conected. 

But when the scheduled update is activated or if  i update the dataset manualy, get de Invalid credential error.

this is driven me crazy.
