I am looking for a way to pull the same data into 2 different data tables with one table having a 1 day offset so I can create the following report. The columns highlighted in orange are calculated and manually entered, however the ones in yellow come from the accounting system and is updated every day. It is basically reservations made for a hotel each day and estimated revenue from those reservations.
The current data would be the column that says OTB 8/1 and then the columns that say OTB 8/2 would be the the old data we recieved yesterday.
My thought are that we could create 2 tables and have 1 that offsets by a day and pull the data from both, however I am new to both DAX and powerbi and have no clue how to accomplish this.
Hi @kvjacob
You may use Merge Queries in query editor. Here is the video and article about this feature for your reference. Then you may create calculated columns with DAX or create custom columns in query editor. If you need further help, please share the .pbix file or some sample data. You can upload it to OneDrive and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.
Regards,
Cherie
Thank you I will try this.
