Odata connection failure with Microsoft dynamics 365 business central connector

Hi everybody,

I'm trying to connect with Power Bi Desktop to Dynamics 365 business central. But I ran into the following error:

DataSource.Error: The OData connector failed with the following error: Dynamics365BusinessCentral: Request failed: The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request. (You do not have the following permissions on CodeUnit LogInManagement: Execute.

I use the standard Dynamics 365 Business central connector. The authentication is succeful as I can see the environment. But when I try to open the environment to see the companies listed with the webservices I ran into this error.

I'm able to login with the user into business central and create webservices and this user has a Power bi Pro licences. If I go to the effective page permissions in business central I do see that my user had the Execute rights for the CodeUnit LoginManagement. I'm a bit lost what is missing. Should I have premiun licence in Business central or are there any additional rights or setup needed in Business central for using the services with Power BI?

Hi @JobV,

I think this should be more related to the permission reasons, have you checked the test account permission to confirm if it has power bi pro and correspond dynamics 365 permissions?
