O365 Content OData errors

We just enabled Office 365 Content pack and when I tried adding the data through Power BI desktop using OData we get some errors. Not sure what it means, the Power BI report seems to work fine in Power BI online.

Error Message:
A supported MIME type could not be found that matches the content type of the response. None of the supported type(s) 'application/json;odata.metadata=minimal;odata.streaming=true;IEEE754Compatible=false, application/json;odata.metadata=minimal;odata.streaming=true;IEEE754Compatible=true, application/json;odata.metadata=minimal;odata.streaming=true, application/json;odata.metadata=minimal;odata.streaming=false;IEEE754Compatible=false, application/json;odata.metadata=minimal;odata.streaming=false;IEEE754Compatible=true, application/json;odata.metadata=minimal;odata.streaming=false, application/json;odata.metadata=minimal;IEEE754Compatible=false, application/json;odata.metadata=minimal;IEEE754Compatible=true, application/json;odata.metadata=minimal, application/json;odata.metadata=full;odata.streaming=true;IEEE754Compatible=false, application/json;odata.metadata=full;odata.streaming=true;IEEE754Compatible=true, application/json;odata.metadata=full;odata.streaming=true, application/json;odata.metadata=full;odata.streaming=false;IEEE754Compatible=false, application/json;odata.metadata=full;odata.streaming=false;IEEE754Compatib...' matches the content type 'text/html; charset=utf-8'.

having the same issue as of this date. Any updates on this? Would like to know!

I'm having the same error as that described above., but can't see a solution here, (even though one answer is marked as a solution).  Is customisation of the pack possible and if so, what is the solution for the issue above?

Many Thanks in advance.

I gave up on trying to get it to work in Power BI desktop, it seems to work fine on the web though.

Hi @Jakuza,

Current content pack only avaliable on power bi service.

>>A supported MIME type could not be found that matches the content type of the response. None of the supported type(s)

In addition, the error message also told that is a not supported type.

A solution to this issue has NOT been provided. Please remove the SOLVED label from your reply and provide support for this issue.

Microsoft provides instructions on how to access data through PBI Desktop at https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Customize-the-Office-365-Adoption-content-pack-9b76065f-29b... .as well as at https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Integrations-with-Files-and/Access-O365-Adoption-Content-Pack-API-P...

However, this solution does not work and results in the errors mentioned in the other messages in this discussion.

Thank you!

Go to datasource and change the permission to "organizational account" that worked for me 🙂

make sure you log in with organizational account that is admin for some product e.g. exchange admin, skype for business admin, global admin etc.

Thanks did the trick for me. Unfortunately i wanted to get analytics on our work SharePoint site and can't seem to find any other than the aggregated stuff in the SharePoint site.

Please mark @solvisig's post as the solution here.  I had to dig all the way down to find this, and this is what solved the problem immediately for me.

Regards,

Ryan Mulhollem

Solved it for me as well with updating the data source connection, had used the pbit file earlier without issue and it worked, but suddenly got this error for a new tenant, didn't think to check the data source settings, but that was the issue 🙂

I'm getting exactly the same error and I need to do customizations as per the support article.

Is there someone who can start considering this an issue and provide us with the required support by investigating the error?

As mentioned in this link, We should be able to connect to O365 Adoption Content Pack through Power BI desktop using OData

Or by using PBIT file. But I am getting the below error for both these approaches.

>>A supported MIME type could not be found that matches the content type of the response. None of the supported type(s)

In addition, the error message also told that is a not supported type.

https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Customize-the-Office-365-Adoption-content-pack-9b76065f-29b...

What is the way to customize this report if we need to join this data with other data sources. Please suggest.
