Numbers formatted in Desktop are not appearing with correctly in BI Service

I created a table object in BI Desktop and have my numbers formatted as such:

244,920,792

When I publish the report to BI Service, the numbers appear as such:

244920792.00

I have tried several times to reformat, deleted the tile, refreshed, whatever I can think of, but the numbers will not show with the correct format.

Can someone tell my why?

Rose

Hi @Roseventura,

Based on test, I can't reproduce your issue, below is my test steps:

Create a sample table with whole number column.

Capture.PNG

Choose the modeling tab and click on "dot" icon.

Capture2.PNG

Create a visual with this column.

Publish to service and pin to dashboard.

I test on Version: 2.39.4526.362 64-bit (September 2016). Perhaps you can update to the newest version of power bi desktop and try again.

Did you change the format under the Query Editor or the Report/Data View?
