Null values appearing while the dimension doesn't include any

I have a dimension EmployeeFunction who has the different functions of employees linked to a fact table EmployeeHRProgress

linked to the dimension EmployeeFunction with a 1 to many relationship.

When I put the function which is a column in EmployeeFunction in a filter, I find (Empty) values like in the screenshot :

When I go check the dimension it doesn't contain any empty values but the fact table contains NULL surrogate key for employees who don't have any function yet.

Is it the direction of the filter which is adding the empty values to the filter (from the dimension to the fact table) :

@AmiraBedh , blanks can even come if your join with fact, and fact has more values than your dimension (means some null or additional value)

Refer by blank in my dimension

Hi, @AmiraBedh ;

I think one side of your table relationship does not have matching value that is why blank is appearing in your slicer.

One method:

Filter on slicer visual and unselected blank().

Or Why would there be a blank value in the slicer? The reason it appears is because of a data integrity issue. so you could fix data.

 This can be done in both Fact and Dimension tables with a simple trick to remove the (Blank) value in slicer and filter .

How should I remove them then ?
