Not all rows are showing

I have 2 tables that are related with IDs.

Table1.ID = Table2.ID.

Creating a visualise for table1 and want to filter results to show in table2.

When the the ID column is added to the visual of table2, it works fine and shows all (2) records. When I remove the ID column, showing only one rcord.

What is the reason? How can I fix it?

Re: Not all rows are showing

Hi @AClerk,

By my tests based on your current information, I'm afraid that I cannot reproduce your scenario.

More detail information will help us understand your scenario better.

If it is convenient, could you share some data sample which could reproduce your scenario and your desired output so that we could help further on it?

Re: Not all rows are showing

Hi @v-piga-msft

I'll have to create sample data.

Will work on it later, when I'll have some time.

Thanks a lot!

Re: Not all rows are showing

So I discovered that the relationships are inner join function.

Meaning that only full record match will work.

I believe that adding a column caused to a mismatch between tables data.

For example

Table1.id_a = Table2.id_b  =Table2.id_c

I have a match between table1 and tabl2 2 on 2 records.

I have a match between table2 and table3 on 1 records.

Final result shows 1 record with data from table 1 and 3.

Creating a left join function is hard to maintain as I have 20 datasources in my model and all are connected is some way.

Writing the data source query with a join causes the refresh to fail.

I guess I'll have to say there is a limitation with the tool.
