I used to frequently face similar issues as well + my model is also based on odbc.

One way around it was try renaming the pbix file > publish it as a new dataset. If that goes through, delete the newly published dataset, rename the old dataset with the new name of the pbix file and try republishing the pbix. I have seen that goes through for me usually.

The issue has been resolved by Microsoft. Apparently there was a bug that has been resolved.

Thanks everyone!

Hi All

I cannot update Apps and get below message.

"Something went wrong

 Failed to publish app.
Please try again later or contact support. If you contact support, please provide these details."

I have to unpubluish the app and publish it again.
Also, users need to add the App again............

Any solutions ???

Hi @Mareo and @wtomer,

My Power BI works fine without this issue. However, I found this on Power BI Support:

Please check the latest information on Power BI Support to see if your issue remains after engineers fix the issue above.Smiley Happy

I have also had the same issue for the last few days. Can publish some pbix files and not others. If I delete almost all tables from the problem files I can publish them.

I submitted a ticket a few days ago but haven't had a response despite it saying I would hear back in 1 business day.

Hi All,

I just found that Power BI is running smoothly now.

Do you still have this issue now?

Massive internet/website outages throughout as a MAJOR issue. So it's not specific just for PowerBI.

I would turn on Tracing in the Desktop, File | Options and settings | Options | Diagnostics, try to publish again and when you get the failure, use the smiley icon in the ribbon to "send a frown" and include the screen shot of the error and trace logs.
