Not able to load data into Power BI

Hello,

I am trying to load data into Power BI.  It shows error message "Requested value '()1' was not found" and the data cannot be loaded, no matter I was using GET DATA function of ENTER DATA function.  Please advise how to solve it.

Below are the details copied from the system.

Re: Not able to load data into Power BI

Hi @TCYLo ,

Could you please describe it in detail about what kind of data source you were loading and how did you load the data source?

In addition, please try uninstalling and removing the root then reinstalling the latest application.

Best Regards,

Jay

Re: Not able to load data into Power BI

Hi Jay,

I had same problem in the version I installed before.  I thought that version got problem and had uninstalled and installed another version already.  However, same error message prompted.

I only typed a simple worksheet with 3 columns and few rows as testing, and using GET DATA function to load the data.  After the message 'There are pending changes in your queries that haven't been applied.' prompted for few seconds, the error message prompted.  I have tried to change the file to CSV type and using GET DATA to load the data, it didn't work.  And have tried typing the data by using ENTER DATA function, it didn't work.

I am using Windows 10 Enterprise and Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus in my notebook.

Please help to check.

Best regards,

Tweety

Re: Not able to load data into Power BI

Hi Jay,

I've checked the log message.  It states that the file namely 'FlightRecorderSnapshotDef.xml' not found.  I checked the folder, it really not exist.  The folder only has another file with similar name as 'FlightRecorderTraceDef.xml'.  Could you send the missing file to me?

Best regards,

Tweety

Hi @TCYLo ,

Looks like there's something wrong with your SSAS. I strongly recommend you to contact your IT department.

Here's the file, hopefully works for you. Please make a backup before any operations.

Best Regards,

Re: Not able to load data into Power BI

Hi Jay,

The error message still prompted although the log message related to that file not exist.

From the message log, there are other messages.  One of them is "The message manager for the 3081 locale cannot be found.".  It seems not appropriate to copy all those details here.  Not sure whether it is fine to email those details to you for checking.

I have asked IT department to check the SSAS and not yet got the reply.

Thanks & regards,

Tweety
