Not able to change date format

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to change my Date format from 31-12-2020 to 12/31/2020 but when I'm using the below formula it is converting to 12-31-2020 instead of 12/31/2020. Kindly help me with this because I need the format to be like MM/DD/YYYY.

FOrmula Used: 

Received Date Format = FORMAT(View_CashReceipt_Summary[ReceivedDate].[Date],"MM/DD/YYYY")

@Anonymous , check the new column is of text type. because if it is date type. then you need to change the format under column tools

also try like

Received Date Format = FORMAT(View_CashReceipt_Summary[ReceivedDate],"MM/DD/YYYY")

also make sure ReceivedDate is of date type

@Amit I've already tried these things but its still not working.

Data type for ReceivedDate is also Date still not getting formatted like 12\31\2020. Not able to understand what is wrong here.
