Non-aggregated Columns in Measures

I'm doing some outlier analysis and found a useful video on YT demonstrating a formula calculating the z-score.

The context is actually irrelevant though as a more fundamental issue is around how Nathan has included a non-aggregated column in his calculations (see screen grab below).  When I try to replicate this, I can't use the column (non-aggregated) ?  What am I missing ?

Hi , @Anonymous

It seems that you are using this formula in a measure rather than a calculated column.

@Anonymous , In the measure you can use a measure or aggregated column. You can use a column in a column.

You can force a row context in case measure using values or summarize. Can use sumx/minx/max to get the row level calculations done

Hmm, I still don't understand how Nathan was able to get his formula to work (https://youtu.be/3L_P86q5564?t=279) ?

It appears he IS using a column directly (non aggregated).

In any case, how would I accomplish the same, e.g.

ThisRow.ColumnX / Average(ColumnX) ?
