Hi all,
the calculator consider only P1 nodes and scales out in a linear way. Is there already released the possibility to use the cluster of nodes without any management effort or you need to duplicate and copy the workspace contents? Is possible to use 1 P2 node insted of 2 P1 nodes?
Hi @locas,
For how to purchase correct nodes that applies to your company, please contact the relative sales department by clicking the button at the bottom of Calculator page.
"To address large deployments, Microsoft is preparing a scale-out capacity deployment option. With the scale-out option, you will be able to purchase multiple capacity nodes and deploy them together as a single capacity cluster. Power BI will autonomously manage your capacity cluster and will automatically balance the load across the nodes using the same technology it is using in the shared capacity. No extra management overhead will be involved when deploying scale-out capacity."
For more description about capacity features and road map, please read the Power BI Premium White paper which can be downloaded here.
Best regards,
Yuliana Gu
