No response logging into desktop

Hi guys,

I'm having trouble logging into the desktop so I can publish to the service.

I have no problem logging into the app service(app.powerbi.com)

after I enter my credentials,  the log in window goes, but nothing happens. I still have the sign in button and if I try publish,  I go through the whole process. but nothing happens.

no error. nothin.

I did download and instll the  latest version. no luck.

I am using

Version: 2.55.5010.641 32-bit (February 2018)

64  bit has same issue

OS: Windows  7 SP1

any ideas?

cheers

Ian

1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

thanks Xiaoxin, for taking the time to try replicate.

I did try at home last night. On windows 10. all was fine.

Must be either the OS or a firewall/network issue at work.

but what is concerning/frustrating is that there is no error or exception message.

thanks agian. will get the netwoork guys to look at it.

let you know what i find.

Hi @IanCockcroft,

I test with Version: 2.55.5010.641 64-bit (February 2018) but I can't repro this issue.

Did you have any firewall settings or security rules setting on your device which will block power bi send request?(you contact to your IT to confirm these)

Have you test on other devices with same version?(if issue related to device)

In addition, you can also use fiddler to trace these operation logs.

Fiddler - Free Web Debugging Proxy - Telerik
