Hello,
I recentlly wanted to implement a template that would rely on paramaters. There are quite a few resources (1, 2, 3) over the web that have great examples besides the official announcement back in May 2016. Although creating connection string parameters works perfectly, I cannot seem to apply a filter on the rows where I should be able to choose the paramaters for the filter value. The screenshot below shows an example what I see.
Every example I have found on the web shows an additional button to be able to choose the parameters. I have found only one post here on the forums that mentions a similar problem to my case but the replies to that post do not touch on that particular part of the question.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.

Hello Maggie,
Thanks for your reply. I finally got to the bottom of the problem.
It seems like the parameter format/type has to match the column format exactly. So, in my case, I imported a table from SQL Server using a stored procedure and hence date column came through in datetime format i.e. yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss. However, parameter type was set to date. When I changed the parameter type to date/time everything started to work.
Hopefully, this will help others as well if they come across with a similar issue.
Hi @Anonymous
When i test with a simple dataset, i can apply parameter correctly.
dataset:
parameter1
parameter2
Apply parameter
Could you show some screenshots of your columns and parameters?
Best Regards
Maggie
